Get Adulting is more than an app. It's a commitment to supporting neurodivergent adults in a world that wasn't built for us. The Get Adulting Foundation extends that mission beyond the app itself, providing direct support to those who need it most. That has always been my goal since launching, just to help people!
I created Get Adulting because it was the solution I needed, not because I wanted to make money. It was something that worked for my brain that I didn't see out there before. So I made my app accessible in price, I made it ad-free, and I made it 100% offline so tracking and data selling don't exist. I'm fortunate enough to have thousands of users who trust my app with their daily lives, and I want to give back where I can and thus: The Get Adulting Foundation is born! Every dollar comes from app revenue and user donations - no corporate sponsors, no strings attached - just help where its needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who can apply?
A: Neurodivergent adults (18+) anywhere in the world who can receive payments via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. You do not need a formal diagnosis or an active subscription to the Get Adulting app to apply. Get Adulting does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. I welcome and celebrate applicants of all backgrounds! However, I do not fund individuals or projects that promote hate, discrimination, or the removal of rights from marginalized communities.
Q: How are recipients selected?
A: I read every application myself. There's no algorithm, no committee, no scoring rubric, no AI. I'm looking for people who genuinely need the help and will put it to good use.
Q: How many awards are given each round?
A: It depends on the foundation's budget and the applications received. The foundation is 100% app-funded and the app is priced intentionally low to be accessible to everyone. I'd rather give fewer meaningful awards than spread funds too thin!
Q: How is the money sent?
A: Depending on the fund, payment may go directly to you (PayPal, Venmo, or bank transfer) or directly to the provider (clinic, school, etc.) on your behalf.
Q: If I'm denied, can I apply again?
A: Yes. A denial just means I couldn't fund everyone this round. I encourage you to reapply in future rounds!
Q: Will I be automatically considered for future rounds?
A: No. Each round is reviewed fresh (as people's situations change), so please submit a new application if you'd like to be considered again. I plan to send email updates when future rounds open though if you previously applied!
Q: When will I hear back?
A: Within 4-6 weeks of the application deadline. Everyone who applies will receive a response, whether accepted or not!
